Sinclair Socialization program

At Sinclair, we take pride in our socialization program. All miniature swine are socialized on a daily basis and the intensity of the program increases prior to shipment of your miniature swine. Our socialization is reward based. We reward the miniature swine with a 70% sucrose solution after they perform a trick. Each day of socialization the trick becomes more difficult for the miniature swine. Miniature swine enjoy toys and bedding as well. As part of our environmental enrichment program, we found that chains are durable toys that the miniature swine do not get bored with. We suspend the chains in the primary enclosure for the pigs to play with. We house the miniature swine in social group when possible and ensure visual contact with other miniature swine. We encourage you to continue these socialization and enrichment efforts as you will greatly benefit from well socialized animals.
